After seeing the incredible character animation Petroc created, I could already picture how the final shot might look.
He kindly gave me the opportunity to take it further, working on texturing, look development, lighting, and compositing.
From the beginning, I wanted to approach the process a little differently.
Rather than taking the shot and working on it independently, I wanted Petroc to be involved throughout the entire process.
Luckily, he was all in!
What followed was a series of team meetings, catch-up calls, creative brainstorming sessions, and valuable feedback that helped us push the shot further.
But beyond the work itself, it was a chance to get to know an incredibly talented artist with so much passion for what he does.
As the shot evolved, we realized it needed one more layer of detail: a high-quality groom to bring the character to life.
That's when Nijat joined the team, bringing his professionalism and impressive experience in groom and CFX.
From there, we worked together, sharing feedback, exploring ideas, and continuously refining the shot as a team.
For me, projects like this are about much more than the final image.
It's about the creative journey, the collaboration, and the opportunity to learn from and work alongside people who genuinely love what they do.
Huge thanks to Petroc and Nijat for being part of this journey.
It was a pleasure working with you both!
Enjoy!
